Introduction

Internet Jihad is spreading in all parts of the world by different terrorist groups. They take the advantage of social media and latest technology. As we know that, technology is advancing day by day and, each day brings new ideas with certain risks. Internet jihad, cyber terrorism, money launderings, communications and Privacy are the biggest concern in all over the world related to Information Technology especially in United States of America. There is an increase in troubles of users with the advancement of much technology than earlier decades. Technology is getting advanced each day. Every day in our life brings new concepts of technology. There is no house and organization in our society, which is without computer. Information technology is playing tremendous role in valuing our lives and societies.

Discussion

Every state of United States is fully acknowledged with hackers, intruders and cyber terrorists. These hackers and intruders are present everywhere in our society. They may hack our systems through certain possible ways using negative aspects of information technology. They mostly target the high officials systems and websites. Research has shown that due to these hackers certain search engines and websites went offline for months. The hackers may send emails in which there are certain attachments and scripts. These scripts contain viruses which may prevail into the system. There are a number of Trojan horses and email borne viruses. The reason of risks is due to the fact, that users are connected through the vast network through the internet. Millions of users are connected through thousands of servers, and this may increase the risks of hacking and cracking.

Terrorist groups like Al Qaeda are already aware of the technological aspects and internet. They are utilizing internet for their terrorist's activities in different parts of the world. They run their ideas through sophisticated communications in order to attract individuals and, several individuals do not aware of their negative ideas (Atwan, A. B., 2006). They use internet for their communications and, plan certain terrorist attacks through internet. Next to global explosives, Internet is found as the strongest weapon of Jihad and, normally termed as cyber Jihad. It has been researched that, Al-Qaeda has shifted its policy of organizational led jihad to online jihad by working on individuals through online communications (Atwan, A. B., 2006). Al-Qaeda already knows that, young adults are addicted towards social media and, they can easily approach teens and young adults through social media networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, My space and Linked In. According to the survey from SurveyMonkey.com, it is found that, when asking question “What do you think, are you addicted to Social Media?” Majority of the respondents answered that, they agreed. Several other respondents remained neutral because, word addicted may have certain negative comments. From researches, and responses from the respondents, it was obvious that, majority of the participants were addicted towards the use of social media.
