Abstract

In this study we try to discover the notion of Internationalisation founded on ideas about entrepreneurship, internationalization of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), and the internationalization presentation of Brazilian firms, the paper endeavours to discover the close relationship between the role of the entrepreneur and internationalization strategies of SMEs. The study is inspired by the detail that, in Brazil, the internationalization of small and medium sized companies is alarmingly reduced, compromising the country's international performance. The paper proposes that, in alignment to boost the country's participation in international markets, new actors require to be presented into the international arena. Due to certain limitations in the economy and the require of large scale investments in the expansion of the creative capability of large corporations to join domestic and external markets at the identical time, only by inserting new companies, can Brazil become an significant global trader, and therefore, enhance its participation in the world trade picture. Introducing new companies in the game, entails stimulating SMEs to internationalize themselves, but it counts on the entrepreneur to realise its significance and internationalize himself first. To overwhelm natural adversities and uncertainties, the paper proposes that what challenges and opportunities are there, engaging nationwide and international actors can decrease drawbacks, thereby stimulating new entrepreneurs to invest in foreign markets.
