Introduction Sports have always been the source of attraction for human beings, however, in the recent year's sports has transformed itself into an event. This means that not only players and audiences tends to be attached to it rather many more strings stands to be attached to it now. That is the reason due to which many countries tend to bid for the events especially major sporting events such as World Cups or Olympic games. Since it tend to attract, millions of audiences worldwide plus it provides an opportunity to the local population to feel a part of the world community. Many experts tend to believe that major sporting events such as Olympic Games can serve as the catalyst to improve the economic situation of the country. Others see it as the opportunity to maximize the tourism since different sports tend to attract people with divergent interests. However, in my opinion major sporting events tend to play the role of the catalyst for the development of that country. Major sporting events tend to serve as the driving force which tends to alter the political, social, cultural scenario of the country. Along with this all the International exposure, , which the host, nation tends to enjoy is incomparable, and the legacy which the event such as Olympic Games tend leave behind is also another factor which needs to be considered when gauging the impact such an event would have. Due to its multifaceted effects many under developed countries tend to see it as the driving force. In order to bring them, in the limelight and provide them the opportunity to compete with the world. In the Context of this paper, we will be analyzing the role of one such sporting event known as Olympic Games on the host nation.

With millions of people watching it live on their television sets and millions of attendees inside the stadium. It certainly shapes up Olympic Games as of the significant events in the sports calendar. As discussed in the course, of this paper that the consequences Olympic Games tend to have are multifaceted and is impossible to view it only from one perspective. Therefore, we will try to shed some light on the various factors attached to Olympic Games and analyze whether it serves as an advantage for the host nation or it is just a myth.Infrastructure In order to host any sporting event there are certain conditions, which needs to, be fulfilled before even bidding for that event. Each Event has its requirement similarly in order for a country to host Olympics there are certain facilities, which the hosting, nation should provide. Although hosting is not an easy and inexpensive task. The foremost effect of such an event is that the existing infrastructure tends to improve or become modernized in order to fulfil the requirements.
