Introduction

Ayaan Hirsi Ali was born in Mogadishu, Somalia, was raised Muslim, and spent her childhood and juvenile adulthood in Africa and Saudi Arabia. In 1992, Hirsi Ali came to the Netherlands as a refugee. She earned her school stage in political science and worked for the Dutch Labor party. She condemned Islam after the September 11 terrorist attacks and now serves as a Dutch parliamentarian, battling for the rights of Muslim women in Europe, the enlightenment of Islam, and security in the West.

Infidel is the eagerly awaited story of the approaching of age of this elegant, distinguished -- and sometimes reviled -- political superstar and champion of free speech. With a gimlet eye and measured, often ironic, voice, Hirsi Ali recounts the evolution of her beliefs, her ironclad will, and her extraordinary resolve to battle injustice finished in the name of religion. Raised in a strict Muslim family and expanded clan, Hirsi Ali survived municipal war, female mutilation, brutal beatings, and adolescence as a devout believer throughout the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood, and life in four worried, unstable countries largely directed by despots. In her early twenties, she escaped from a compelled marriage and sought asylum in the Netherlands, where she earned a school stage in political science, endeavoured to assist her tragically depressed sister adjust to the West, and battled for the rights of Muslim immigrant women and the restructure of Islam as a Member of Parliament. Even though she is under unchanging threat -- demonized by reactionary Islamists and politicians, disowned by her father, and expelled from her family and clan -- she denies to be calmed.

Ultimately a celebration of triumph over adversity, Hirsi Ali's story tells how a brilliant little young female developed out of dutiful obedience to become an outspoken, pioneering flexibility fighter. As Western authorities labour to balance democratic ideals with religious stresses, no story could be timelier or more significant.

I hadn't proposed to read Infidel. It was a publication on a way to another publication and also I am rarely able to make my way through non-fiction. This publication, although, was an exclusion in spite of the fact that I didn't find the composing to be that great. Ayaan Hirsi Ali's life story, on the other hand, is interesting and so foreign to any life story I understand that one time I selected it up, I couldn't put it down.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali is perhaps better renowned as the outspoken Dutch parliamentarian and women's rights activist who collaborated on a movie with Theo Van Gogh that emphasised the abuses of Islam against Muslim women. Van Gogh was killed and discovered with a note pinned to his chest saying Ali would be next.
