Interactive Display on Exploring Water Outdoors With the Age of 3 - 4 Years Old

Introduction

Learning through playing has always been an integral part of the educational framework. Displays are often thought of as an exquisite blend of play and development in learning , that illustrates children understanding in a particular area. Children love to play; interactive playing sessions can always be molded to channel the flow of positive developmental ideas in children. A comprehensive amount of knowledge can be gained by children during interactive playing sessions (Sharp,Ward and Hankin, 2009). The document discusses the activity carried out under my supervision. The content is designed to explore the values and practices regarding it.

Discussion

As part of my project, I decided to arrange a display on exploring water outdoors with age of children three to four years old. The simplest way to offer water play outdoors was to provide children with brushes and a bucket of water, children were supposed to collect brushes of all sizes and dimensions from very fine ones to huge wallpaper brushed that need two hands. Children were taken to nearby park. Emulsion paint trays, sponges and rollers were offered to the children. And children were allowed to paint whatever they wanted anywhere in the park. A two step ladder was also provided so that children can reach high up. Waterproof suit was provided to kids thereby protecting their clothes from getting dirty and wet. Every major was taken to protect children from getting wet in the cold winter weather.

Selection of the Activity

Water is all around us. Since embryonic stages of our life we are connected with the processes involving without even realizing its importance in life. The world is based on it. Every system and every industry requires basic understanding of water and phenomena related to it. Therefore to make children understand its importance and diversity in which it implies, it is essential to cultivate the understanding of water related phenomena such as water cycle, rain, conservation of water in them.

The Values

Concept learning is an integral element, oriented in curriculum of all grades. It is valuable and plays an imperative role education, development and growth of children on academic and work front (Blandford, 2009). While many children may retain facts and principles, understanding the concept of topic and application of that knowledge usually is overlooked.

Aiding children to cultivate comprehensive understanding of critical concepts connected with content-area lesson of education such as water, can be considered as one of the most challenging tasks. Critical concepts are those vital ideas that are imperative for the understanding of an overall lesson. Children who fail to understand those critically essentials concepts during their learning experience develop erroneous or superficial understanding regarding the topic (Bartlett and Burton , 2003). In order to eliminate the risk of the development of erroneous understanding regarding the topic, it is essential that children are made to learn on pragmatic ...
