ABSTRACT
To gain competitive advantage in a marketplace, better path building process is considered the best way. Technological advancement at present has changed the lifestyle of the people living in this world. New high-tech methods and tools, which are utilised by the companies to reach out the global audiences, are significant in the distribution channels as well as become crucial for the success of any organisation. In this age of technological advancement and globalization, consumer demands real time and instantaneous information and services as per their convenience, which increase the importance of usage of IT in every industry. In this connection, the hotel industry at present is no different than others. Because of the technological advancement, the distribution channels inside the industry are being reshaped, and with every passing day the competition is becoming fierce in this industry. The first chapter provides introduction to the thesis along with purpose, aims and objectives, and significance of the topic, on which the research was undertaken. The second chapter covers the literature review related to the topic, while the third chapter presents methodology used for this thesis. The research has used mixed method research and thus the analysis of findings is primarily based on statistical analysis of findings reported. The researcher has used SPSS tool to analyse the results. Interview questionnaire was also used in this study to record responses from the concerned high level authorities, employed at KFC\s Warrington's outlet. The thesis concludes with the fifth chapter that provides theoretical and practical implications, and limitations faced during the course of the thesis.
