Organizational resistance to the introduction of information systems

The ethical, legal and technological issues are continuously revolving due to rapid and quick advancements in technology. As technology gives birth to ethical issues, these issues in exchange require technological solutions. Ethical problems do not have rapid and manageable solutions. The aim is to maximize the benefits, autonomy, access, and adoption of the latest technologies. The main ethical issue arising in the society is the mutual respect for people. Ethical issues could be solved if mutual trust is maintained. The consent should be truly informed; people should not be used as means to an end. Confidentiality should be recognized and protected at all levels. Researchers must take the initiative to lead to shape the social policy by promoting the draft of laws and introducing policies that facilitate the processes (Luo 2009, 359).

Information technology could provide information directly to the directors from the business units, eliminating the middle-level managers and office workers who support them. It could give managers the opportunity to contact directly to the operating units of low-level through a network of telecommunications and computers, and thus eliminate the middleman mid-level managers. It could also directly distribute information to low-level workers, who could then make their own decisions based on their own knowledge and information without intervention of any manager.

Any organization going through change, routinely responds to them by setting a barrier against these changes. There are many barriers to the use of conventional information systems and provide access to the accumulated knowledge in the organization. Justification here a variety of links to privacy or trade secrets, the lack of time, resources and expertise necessary qualifications, and just for hackers.

Potential organizational structure, culture, politics, the place to change the key organizational elements and of business, introducing advanced information systems often encounter significant resistance, and tend to be more difficult than expected, as a result. Organizational change occurs unless forced to accept the innovation environment is critical. Organizational innovation implementation is difficult and complex. Promoting innovation plan must be executed carefully, including the need to align interests to the group norms and values (Edwin 2003, 64).

Information systems affect the productivity of a business

Technology has totally changed the face of the Earth. The world has become a knowledge economy where effective dissemination of knowledge had become imperative for the present and future generations. This effectiveness can only be established if we deploy technology in our learning systems. Blended learning is a concept that has gripped the law-enforcement sector world-wide and has created positive impact on the learning process. It involves mixing different learning environments using computerized learning systems for facilitation and pedagogical innovation.
