Introduction

The purpose of this paper is to enlighten and discuss the concept of nuclear energy and its impact on our lives. This paper will explore nuclear energy and its each and every perspective. In addition, the paper will also analyze the impact of nuclear energy in a holistic nature and the intensity of the impact. Nuclear energy is the form of force that is released spontaneously or artificially from the nuclear reactions. Similar to every other thing in this world nuclear energy has two perspectives as well. At one hand this energy can be used to obtain power, it is responsible to regulate huge thermal plants and it is used as a weapon to ensure the national security of the country. On the other hand the accidents caused due to the experiments on nuclear energy can severely affect the lives of individuals. Nuclear energy not only affects the individuals that live beside the radioactive area but severely damages the entire ecological system (Nelson, 91).

Despite of the rapid advancement in technology the nuclear accidents cannot be prohibited. The experiments related to the nuclear energy are so much sophisticated in nature. Despite of strict control measures the scientists and researchers all over the world are not able to find a solution for this scenario. Most of the experimental structures around the world are carried out in distant areas in which the population is scarce. Nevertheless, the impact of nuclear reaction is severe than the hypothetical assumptions of the scientists. Due to the nuclear accidents 100 - 200 Km of nuclear clouds can be formed. These clouds are responsible for the acid rain that can cause critical diseases. In addition, the nuclear reactions and radioactive rays can cause lands to be infertile and uncultivable for a long time.

Advantages of Nuclear Energy

There are always two sides of everything; a bright side and the dark side. Similarly nuclear energy has advantages and disadvantages as well. According to a research study one third of the energy generated in America comes from nuclear energy. This process is carried out by almost emitting almost 700 million tons of CO2 and other toxic chemicals in the environment; nevertheless, this process facilitates the process to generate thermal and electric energy (Nelson, 89). Currently more fossil fuels are produced and consumed in order to avoid the exhaustiveness of the resources in the near future.

Nuclear energy is an alternative to using fossil fuels for electricity production. The reduction is the fossil fuel reserves decline and its continuous utilization has made the resources scarce. There are very few resources remaining through which electricity can be generated. There are several pacts and treaties regarding the consumption and utilization of nuclear energy that involve significant countries. There are several terms and conditions set in these pacts; according to the terms and condition designed as a standard 39 industrialized countries must reduce emissions of carbon dioxide.
