UK is the host for 2012 Olympic and Paralympics Games, which take place across the UK presenting an unparalleled opportunity to boost the UK hospitality industry around the game period. According to Gerrard (2011), “The UK is expecting about 900,000 visitors helping to generate £2.1 billion worth of gains to the tourism and hospitality industries.” Garner (2006) suggested that “to take advantage of these opportunities, there are a whole series of challenges for hospitality operators to address in areas such as skills, marketing and increased volumes.”
