Analyzing the Growth of Far Right and Immigration in Europe

Introduction

This assignment aims to discuss the growth of immigrants in Europe in addition to discussing whether; a return to selective immigration may be inevitable in the present circumstance.

Aims and Objectives of Study

This study is based on the following aims and objectives:

To analyze the growth of immigration in European countries, particularly in the Western Europe.

To study the effects of extensive scale migration in Europe.

To discuss the pros and cons of European immigration with reference to relevant case studies, treaties, and legislation on the topic.

To understand and discuss the implications of illegal migration on the already-multiplying issues of migrants in Europe.

Current Problem related to European Immigration

Large-scale immigration into Western Europe is more recent. From 1960 to 1973, the number of foreign workers in Western Europe doubled from 3 to 6% of the workforce. Migration has become a hallmark of this time. It is certainly not a recent phenomenon: migration has always existed throughout history. At this point should not lose perspective: from the beginning of time man has sought the most auspicious place to build a better life. Like it or not, we could say that this phenomenon is part of our behavior as living beings. And faced with an opinion that seems widespread, it is noted that, overall, there has been a significant increase in migration in recent times. According to UN data, the variation of global migrants between 1960 and 2005 was only a tenth, from 2.4 to 2.5%, one tenth in 45 years. So the most significant new feature to note is the new pattern of migration, which is now an overwhelmingly majority directed to developed countries. In recent decades, Europe has become a recipient of chaotic immigration, and in many cases illegal and that is the great change that has occurred. This is the fundamental objective of this work, which aims to bring the public the reality of migration in Europe, studying the migration with the clarity provided by the legal and economic approach.

Migration is a phenomenon as old as human civilization itself. While migration is usually done in search of better opportunities for livelihood, there are many aspects that govern the migration of humans from one place to another. The truth is that, along with phenomena such as climate change, globalization of finance, international security or the increase of trade, migration has become one of the great questions of the beginning of this century. The challenge is great and must be addressed decisively and with all available resources. Europe must work tirelessly together to enjoy the benefits that undoubtedly provides a legal and orderly immigration and, in turn, should put the same effort to curb illegal immigration and disorderly, which has ...
