Background of the topic
The concept of Immigration is not an old concept for many developed countries. There are many people in the developing and under-developed countries who are applying for the immigration to the developed nations that includes United Kingdom, Australia, USA and Canada.
The main reason is the better opportunities and economic prospects for the people applying for Immigration in these countries.
However, these people face several issues after landing on an alien land. These problems get resolved once they settle at the new place with a commitment to improve their social and personal lives. Immigration comprises of social and cultural impacts on an economy but it is also considered to be an influential factor in evaluating the health of economy of a developed country. This dissertation will discuss the impacts of immigration to the U.K economy, and an evaluation will be conducted to assess whether or not it is an asset for U.K. There are numerous benefits of immigration trends which will be assessed by considering its role in upgrading and stabilizing the economy.
There is a need to consider the issues related to long-term demographic impacts because of the rising public concern related to the rapid increase in immigration. However, there is a need regarding a comprehensive debate about the economic, social and cultural impacts of immigration.
Aims and objectives of the Research
The main research aim of this dissertation will be to study the economic impacts of immigration to U.K economy. This research has the following objectives that need to be studied for a definitive course:
To study the trends of immigration from European Union and the rest of the world, comparing it to the synergies realizable in the U.K economy,
To compare and analyze the current system of immigration in U.K to the United states and other countries with excessively higher immigration rates,
To identify the benefits of immigration to economy through a range of variables that co-relate with an increase or decrease in immigration practices,
To explain the socio-cultural benefits of immigration to U.K economy, paving its way for future enhancements in immigrating populations.

Immigration is a difficult topic, with different arguments lending its way to varying perspectives as far as its economic benefits are concerned.
