Ensuring Good practice in coaching

Coaching conducted at the work place if a highly effective tool to keep the employees motivated towards work. But this side of coaching should also be assured that the coaching sessions must be in the benefit of the employee and should consist of such measures in it that will help the employee to learn skills that will help them in their future. To ensure good practice in the coaching session there are certain measures that needs to be adopted. Just floating a training session is simply not enough. It is required by the trainer that all the managers who are directly or indirectly related to the coaching session. It is also required by the managers that they should put their learning in the coaching sessions.

This will help the employees to have knowledge of general perspective. Good practices basically incorporates the follow ups of the group sessions conducted or can avail the feedback of the master coaches who conducted the session for to give the feedback. Greater effect of the training can also be gathered by naming the coaching session as a team based activity and making the whole team learn as to how to incorporate the coaching as an everyday activity. It is important for the managers having the higher position in the hierarchy that they conduct the training sessions well (Somers, 2008, pp. 121-125). The cost which the organization will incur or the mistakes of any employee, or the expense it will bear on losing a talent will be much higher. The advanced sessions of the coaching will build the competence and knowledge of the managers and will make the employees to learn more.

Identifying learning styles and barriers to learning

Any permanent modification in the human behavior that is the result of an experience can be referred to learning. In other words we can say that the change which is witnessed in the human behavior shows clearly that the learning has taken place. As the change is a clear indication of learning. Learning styles are termed to be the behavior of a human in which he learns the cognitive and psychological characteristics.
