Seldom has anyone heard of a person who has spent his entire life without indulging or being victim of any kind of illness and disability. Given the prime connotation attached with the term illness, it can be easily assimilated that a person is deprived of the full fitness and perfect health that would enable him to lead a pain and misery free time.

The prime objective of this endeavour rests at the astute interpretation of the case study, which revolves around a man named Michael, and his health, in all the possible dimensions and aspects. At the outset this assignment will render a complete comprehension of the case, complimented with the key reasons for my assimilation of the case and motive to interpret the case. Furthermore, this assignment will lay down the basic aspects of the case and the main points that it endures, coupled with the hidden connotations of the case study that encompass of the health knowledge, biographical disruption and stigma, doctor and patient relationship, and other underlying perspectives.

Overview of the Case

The case that has been undertaken primarily revolves around the aspects mentioned in the previous introductory section. This case is about a man named Michael, who is at that stage of his life, in which falling prey of certain illness or disability must not ring an alarming bell. This case basically takes form of an interview, in which Michael eloquently articulates about his past life, his existing one, and the health related issues that he has been facing for quite long now. At the age of 58, Michael has become a patient of a private clinic, where he seeks relief from his physical misery, and regaining mental composure.

Describing His Early Life

Describing his early life, he articulates about the hardships and the struggles which his parents had to endure, while bringing him and his siblings up. Born in Texas, and then eventually finding his way into London, in search of job and better life, and also to be a source of monetary help to his parents, Michael recalls his childhood, where his mother would fall prey of illness every now and then, and that his father would have considerable difficulty in treating his mother and taking care of his family at the same time. London brought new dimensions to his personal life, as well.

Present Life And Commencement Of Health Issues Micheal, the diligent person, started to fall prey of the physical misery, and began to experience constant backache, without any apparent cause or reason, some time back; which the tests and medical examinations failed to explain. Not only did it start affecting his health, but also his work life, as he was unable to concentrate on his work and perform at par. Having to endure more pain in cold weather and in off days from work, Michael resorted to numerous medicines from the pharmacy, seeking an alleviation in the pain and misery.
