I am joyous to glimpse that this transformation of The Iliad of Homer has stayed in print. My exact duplicate is over 25 years vintage and I still consider it as my favorite. Mr. Lattimore has searched to maintain the significance of the Greek phrases and the didactic hexameter tempo, encompassing the added sayings (such as the warlike, breaker of equines etc.) that make the Iliad verse to be recited, not read.
