In this study it has been tried to explore the concept of human resource management in multinational organizations: case of recruitment and selection practices in Nigeria and United Kingdom. The main focus of the research is on Recruitment and Selection and its relation with senior management of the multinational firms. The researcher did in depth study to reach a meaningful conclusion. The research questions addressed in this research are what is the traditional recruitment and selection process? What are the various sources of recruitment? What is the recruitment and selection process of the firms? How effective is the recruitment and selection process of UK and Nigerian based firms? How the recruitment and selection process can enhance firm's productivity? The researcher reached to meaningful conclusion after extensive study of the literature.

1.1 Background of the Research
Theories of human resource management focused on methods of recruitment and selection and highlight the advantages of interviews, general assessment and psychometric tests as a selection process of employees (Allen, 2004, 13). The recruitment process can be internal or external or could be online and includes the steps of recruitment policies, advertising, job description, a process of job application, interviewing, assessment, decision-making, selection and training legislation.
