Introduction

Exercise program and physical education are usually the most abundant element conservation programs and health promotion in the workplace. They can be considered successful when contributing to the objectives of the organization, enhancing the health of workers and, accordingly, are useful for those engaged in them. Exercise program and physical training depend on the organization's objectives and desires of staff and resources. This paper discusses the reasons for which organizations offer training programs and physical fitness. In addition, it considered how these programs fit into the organizational structure of the typical services offered by the participants of this program, the staff members that implement these services, and the human resource usage of such programs in the workplace. The paper focuses on the programs conducted in the workplace. Implementing a regular exercise program can prevent risks and accidents, and more particularly musculoskeletal injuries suffered by workers in the organization (Hoover and Jensen, 1994).

Discussion

The program of physical activity focused on the employees of a company as a means of prevention of muscle injuries, physical and psychological stress that may help to maintain a psycho- optimal physical worker's company. In order to optimize their performance, not from a view that workers are fully fit but with enough physical condition for the proper performance of their work and improve their health. Resorting to the gym work is an effective way to prevent or mitigate the damage that may result from work activities. That is the employee's body remains more functional and is in the most optimal conditions for carrying out their functions within the company without the possibility of unnecessary risk of injury. The global economy today dictates the goals and strategy of employers and affects millions of workers around the world. Tough international competition requires organizations to offer products and services of high value at low cost, that is, to follow the rate at which a goal is put the so-called "quality". Organizations that implement the purpose of compliance of quality, expect that its employees will be "consumer-oriented": to work energetically, enthusiastically and attentively throughout the day, to improve their professional level and how to answer for their behavior at work, and for personal well-being (Seaward, 1988).

In organizations, such training programs and physical education may play a role in helping employees achieve a good "health." This is especially important for those sectors that employ "white collar", leading a sedentary lifestyle. In the assembly industry, and heavy industry strength training and flexibility can increase performance and endurance, as well as to protect workers from occupational injuries. In addition to improving the physical condition, physical fitness programs allow to relieve stress and transfer responsibility for health on other aspects of lifestyle such as diet and weight control, rejection of alcohol and drugs, and smoking cessation.
