Task 1: Current Issues in Human Resource Management

There are lots of issues in human resource management that are to be solved in a timely manner. However knowing the current issues in human resource management globally would help you a lot to nip them in the bud in your organization. Some of the current issues in human resource management that are dying for attention are employee draining turnover, ineffective managers, employee absenteeism, poor employee motivation, poor response to stress and conflicts, poor customer service etc.

With the improvement in communication technologies and devices day to day, more people are using it to their advantage. So is the case of employees using them to find another job in any part of the globe. Employee drain is a burning issue in some of the industries like BPOs. It is easily at 50% in most of those organizations. HR management teams are finding it difficult to curb draining. Solving that issue is the key to the success of the organization. A lot of time and money are wasted if any employee simply switches companies.

The employees are to be motivated properly in order to extract work from them. If you find that they are not showing interest in their job, it is time to look into that issue seriously and solve it. An employee who is properly motivated would deliver more than the organization expects. So keep them happy and motivated to increase your productivity and hence the return on investment.

If the employees are not properly trained they may not know how to respond to conflicts and stress. It is necessary for them to deal with stress and conflict effectively to get the productivity you need. There are many courses and training available for such employees. You need to send them to such training so that they acquire the skills needed to cope with stress and conflicts.

Poor customer service is another issue in human resource management. If your customers are not serviced properly they will not return to you again and it is a loss to your company. Know how your customer service is functioning and sort out the issue in it. This will certainly increase the turnover of your organization in due course.
