ABSTRACT

The human resources strategy and its implementation is a key element in the competitiveness of the company. The advantages of having an effective human resource system are clear and relevant. When personnel practices do not meet certain requirements, not only give positive results, but adversely affect. With the in depth review of recruitment, selection, and retention strategy of ABC Company which is currently a national company and with increasing trend is transforming itself into a multinational corporation (bought by multinational). In addition based on the review of existing system the decision to keep existing system or formation and implementation of new system is also discussed. The study is aimed at executives, managers, professionals and middle managers with responsibility for managing Human Resources and those who wish, by updating their knowledge, improve their competitiveness. The purpose of this paper is to let the readers know about the importance and effectiveness of recruitment, selection, and retention strategies in attaining profitability and competiveness of an organization both national or an international organization.

The effectiveness of the strategies was identified from the gap of ABC Company transforming from national company to a multinational organization. The study answered traditional recruitment selection and retention process of ABC Company as national company, various recruitment and selection strategies of ABC Company as Multinational Corporation, and effective system recruitment, selection, and retention process for ABC multinational corporations. The study is eminently practical, dynamic and applies various techniques to throughout the process that allows readers to have the opportunity to put into implement the knowledge imparted.

Qualitative approach was used in this study because of its wide and open ended scope. The secondary data is collected from various researches and journals. The data was collective from reliable and relevant resources. The results from the analysis stated that the new multinational corporation should use mix strategy in which some of the old strategies should be practiced along with some additions in them. The strategy and human resource policies impact the business results of the company. If companies want positive influence on profitability of the business than the recruitment, selection, and retention strategy should be designed and implanted considering the nine fundamental efficacy variables, namely: consistency with the external environment, and internal characteristics of the company, and with the business strategy, internal consistency of human resource policies together; management proper implementation, strategic role of human resources department; professional skills of the function, monitoring, adjustment and continuous improvement personnel system.
