Human ecology: A sociological perspective that emphasizes the relationship among social order, social disorganization, and the distribution of populations in space and time. It bases on the community, and is mainly concerned with population growth and change; it seeks to discover how society organizes them to survive and prosper and how groups compete and cooperate among them.
