Abstract
This is research is based on the topic “How Would the Third Runway Affect Heathrow Airport Environmentally.” The purpose of this research is to determine how the development of a third runway would impact the environment. The development of a third runway has become an important debate in the studies of environmental science and aviation. In order to carry out this research, quantitative research methodology has been adopted. The research involves the use of both primary and secondary data. Secondary data has been gathered from different articles, journals, and documents. In order to gather primary data, operation managers of BAA, representatives from Hacon and Greenpeace, and people living the airport have been selected. The findings of the study have revealed that the development of a third runway would result in negative environmental consequences. It would result in increasing noise and air pollution in the region.
