CHAPTER 5: CLIENT DRIVERS WHEN COMMISSIONING BUILDINGS
Introduction
Man is constantly improving the level of comfort of their homes, using advances in science and technology. We can say, building "home" - one of the most receptive to innovations industries. In addition, the requirements for modern living are so high that without using the most advanced technologies and materials were not met. (Ajzen 2000, pp.179-211)
Technology development of every modern material is impossible without improving the environmental component. Thus, chipboard (DSP) which is positioned as a cheaper product, moisture-resistant and durable material than the materials of solid wood served as a negative environmental example at the start of production of technology. For the production of particle board as a bridge until a few decades ago used toxic phenol formaldehyde resins in large quantities allocated free of formaldehyde. However, they were replaced by urea-safe formaldehyde. binding, the level of monomeric formaldehyde which is negligible. (Boonstra & Anink 2008, pp.23-32)
In addition; the modern types of particle board with laminated PVC coating can completely eliminate the release of formaldehyde. Environmental aspect of the production of polymers and, in particular, PVC has always been in the public spotlight. This fact had a major influence on its development and improvement. As a result of research and engineering efforts is actively pursued in the 70s, have been sharply reduced emissions of vinyl chloride monomer (which is formed of polyvinyl chloride) in the environment. Today the production of PVC in Europe is one of the most environmentally friendly. (Brown & Wahlers 2003, pp.38-47)
Sustainable living is the most up-to-date trend which has taken over the entire world. These days, people from every part of the world are influencing their lifestyles and opting for more sustainable ways. Sustainable living means to adopt ways of life which helps in preserving the environment and ...
