Data is considered as the raw fact and, processed data is considered as the information. Knowledge is also related with intelligence as; person having more knowledge is considered as the intellectual. There is the urgent need in today's generation to extract the useful information. KDD is the field which allow to access important data through knowledge discovery. Information is something very broad. It is not something contained in mere words or numbers. Information is not something which is static (Witten, Ian H.; Frank, Eibe; Hall, Mark, 2011) .

Hence, it is a moving like life. The only thing which is constant in life is change and the same is true for information as well. As stated earlier, in the broad definition of information, one of the most important elements of information is that it is timely. Hence, information keeps changing because it keeps upgrading. This property of information makes it a form of life. In addition, information is not a relationship. It is a verb as it takes place because of the interaction of different things.

Data mining is also known as the knowledge discovery in databases (KDD). Data mining tends to clean the raw data, and immense amount of data for the organization. In short, data mining tends to clean the data and, recover the main knowledge for the organization and, save immense amount of time. In this technique, several processes are utilized to make the data useful and, easy to use within the organization. In organizations, data mining is now the essential source of providing the best information with software.

The steps found in knowledge discovery are based on collection of data, data preparation, selection of data, cleaning of data, incorporation of prior knowledge, and proper interpretation of results of mining. When blind application of data mining is used then, it may be considered as the dangerous activity because, it allows the meaningless discovery of data. Agents who are intellectuals are given tasks to collect important information from several sources (Murphy, Chris, 2011). They may work remotely in order to collect the precious data and, navigate with the help of World Wide Web.

The recent trends of information are used to discover the knowledge discovery related to crime, shopping, medical habits, and driving records. The information is useful in certain areas such as medical research, law enforcements, and national security purposes. There is the increasingly public concern about the privacy related to knowledge discovery and data mining. Data is one of the fundamental assets of organizations, today (Monk, Ellen; Wagner, Bret, 2006). It is easy to access the fast records of information, presented in databases and, other records. It is observed that, data is analyzed and visualize online with data mining tools. There are semi automatic and pre automatic data discovery by use of data mining tools.
