CHAPTER 1: Introduction
Background of the Study
The definition of narrative
Roland explains narratives as:
"It's like life itself evolving world of history and culture"
When experiences are defined in the story, a play or a novel, they become narratives. It is unlike linguistic expression in which direct experience is translated, but is not the substitute, unless it provides alternatives musical art or graphic or narrative. In narrative, there is no need to explain the idea, summarize the significance, or offer some advice because the structure of narrative itself explains it, and same language and phrases reveal the experience or meanings.
The narratives refer generally to all that could knock out. In narratives any tool could be used whether it is verbal or non-verbal, it is human behaviour through which human beings achieve a wide range of specific messages. Formats of narratives vary in unusual ways; it can be quenched, either oral or in writing, it can make use of tool of verbal through mime and pictures, or it could be non-verbal also. The narratives also include the techniques and tools that altogether make the structure of the narrative text.
