ABSTRACT
The rapid expansion in the global business has increased the cultural dimension and inter-cultural diversity. This expansion trends stems out of the need for all the organization especially the MNCs to develop strategies that does not affect organization performance and networking of different gender, creed, background, race, national origin, color and ethnicity. The purpose of this study is to understand and investigate how cultural dimension affect the performance and networking within MNCs and local chain is UAE.
CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
Background of the Study
Cultural plays a very important in an organization. Culture varies in nature from organization to organization. Culture engrosses a critical role especially in international and multinational organizations where expat's from different countries are made part of the company. An organization performance is highly influenced by the type of culture it exhibits. It is presumed that an organization performance and networking is influenced by its internal and external environment. In accessing the internal environment of the organization it is the culture and its prevailing dimensions due to intense globalization that affects performance and networking in both local and international organizations (Fridenson, 1996, p.155).
For organizations with base in overseas countries like UAE, culture and its prevalent dimensions are supposed to affect overall performance and networking as the original culture of the organization and prevalent country culture create difference in the nature organization work and integrate in its parent country.
Problem Statement
An organization culture is the critical aspect that stands by for the success or failure of the organization. Effectiveness of the organization is dependent upon the effectiveness of the culture that prevails in the organization whether local or MNCs. Effective culture drives organization towards effectual performance and effective networking. The research of this dissertations aims to understand and investigate the affect of UAE cultural dimension on performance and networking both local and MNCs.
Aim of the Research
The aim of the research is to understand and analyze the impact of culture and cultural dimension on performance and networking for organizations both local and MNCs in UAE.
Objectives of the Research
The research conducted in this dissertation propels to determine the following objectives;
To study how culture and cultural dimension impact performance and networking
To explore various cultural dimensions and subsequent performance and networking issues in both local and MNCs in UAE
To determine the key affects of cultural dimensions of performance and networking
To understand the challenge cultural dimensions impose on performance and networking of both local and MNCs in UAE
To analyze the challenges that local and MNCs counter due to cultural dimension in UAE
To highlight appropriate actions to overcome the impact of cultural dimension on performance and networking
