ABSTRACT

In this study we try to explore the concept of “Hospitality Business Management” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “Management in Business in Hospitality Industry” in “United Kingdom”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “Current Structure of Hospitality Industry” and tries to gauge its effect on “Consumer Preference”. Finally the research describes the factors which have an impact consumer experience in Hospitality Business.

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

Background of the Research

This paper will focus on Business management in Hospitality Industry. The hotel industry dates back to antiquity, where the need to exchange goods between different civilizations, traders to travel from one country to another for the exchange, at first this service were free at this time to the accommodation of merchants were the kings built shelters on the roads, to encourage trade and to protect merchants from the thieves. Ford and Peeper (2008, pp-89) states that “There were different types of hotels, some of poor quality and reputation for the poorest people, some of excellent quality but affordable only too wealthy people. After the fall, of the Roman Empire until the tenth - XI hosting service passed to the monasteries, which had provided this service for charity. Hospitality became a volunteer and was protected by law, was also the sites where they provide this service in exchange for a value”.

In this study, the researcher will focus on highlighting the Emergence of Hospitality Industry and will determine the factors that are involving in Management of Hospitality business. The research will also analyze the critical issues and challenges face by Hospitality business.

Problem Statement

Hospitality Industry is one of the biggest employers of immigrants which consist of both legal and illegal immigrants. People say that immigration policies are the main reasons why the hospitality industry is blooming.
