Introduction

The Fort Worth Stockyards became a tourist site for its rodeos and souvenir shops Texan. We recognize the great parks where cows waiting before being "turned into steaks." Found an old railway line which allowed meat packaged route through all United States. And behind it all, you discover a city within a city, a site that is nothing apocalyptic as the remains of one of the largest slaughterhouse in the world. Swift-Armor Meat Factory was founded in 1902. This was one of the jewels of Texas. But in the late 1960s, the site was closed. A fire then destroyed some buildings. The site is now abandoned and will soon be fully demolished by taking part in its rubble of history and étasunienne Texas (Oliver, pp. 10).

The impressive building is the equivalent of two football fields. Built in 1931, this mammoth art-deco comprises 8 floors and an amazing roof overlooking downtown Fort Worth. This building abandoned for nearly 30 years suffers from serious problems of water infiltration. A rehabilitation project is to study lofts to save this heritage.

Discussion

Fort Worth Power & Light has built the hydroelectric plant along the Trinity River in the years 1911-1913, not far from the present city center. This giant cathedral was closed in 2005 and its future is uncertain. There is still no rehabilitation project. The site is closed and guarded, we must climb a wall to enter. Despite numerous broken windows, the interior of the plant is intact. Inside, it feels like the world of Mario Bross, with impressive ceiling heights, bridges, tunnels and a futuristic roof with enough vent.

In 1855 the county seat war erupted. Since 1849 the county seat had been Birdville, but in 1855 Fort Worth citizens decided that this honor belonged to their town. After a long bitter fight Fort Worth became the county seat in April 1860, and construction began on a stone county courthouse. After a delay due to the Civil War the courthouse was finished in the 1870s, although it burned in 1876 (Sanders, pp. 71).

Fort Worth Metroplex is the informal name that the inhabitants of this area have given metropolitan region in northern Texas ( USA ). Other nicknames include receiving the "Metroplex", "North Texas", "DFDub" and "DFW". Due to the large growth of the area, especially the suburbs, the Census Bureau of the United States appointed him the title metropolitan Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington. The metropolitan area can be further divided into two metropolitan divisions: Dallas-Plano-Irving and Fort Worth-Arlington.
