Abstract
In today's globalized world; everyone realizes the importance of healthy eating habits. In this study, we would attempt to address the vital issue of healthy eating habits in key stage one. A qualitative analysis would be conducted; and a triangulation approach would be used. The approach would allow us to better analyze the collected information and drawn inferences from it. Every progressive society realizes the importance healthy eating habits in key stage one. A vast number of studies have been conducted on the topic. General literature on the topic would be discussed in the proposal, along with its various elements. The governmental policies would also be discussed and their impact would be assessed. A thorough overview of the research topic would be given and the methodology would be explained with respect to the proposed aims and objectives of our study.

Objective and Purpose of the Study
The purpose of this research proposal is to address healthy eating in Key Stage One (KS1). The proposal aims to assess whether policies, campaigns and legislations implemented by the government has helped schools in promoting healthy eating in children and hence tackle the increasing levels of obesity. The proposal will outline the title, a literature review, which will be supported by four key questions that will be answered by the end of this project. The proposal will also contain a methodology which will be supported by the data collection methods used and a discussion on the possible ethical consideration involved in our research. This proposal research is pivotal in examining whether both the government and schools are working together effectively to promote the importance of leading a healthy, balance lifestyle at a young age, and to reduce the levels of child obesity.
