Introduction

The journal article which has been selected for review and critique was The effects of a school-based intervention on the self-care and health of African-American inner-city children with asthma published in Journal of Pediatric Nursing. The article has been penned by Velsor-Friedrich, B. along with Pigott, T.D., and Louloudes, A. this paper attempts to evaluate the written critique in the light of Critical Review Guidelines for Quantitative Studies and highlights the items which were missing from the article critique.

Evaluation of critique

When it comes to the critique of a research article, in particular a quantitative study, there are certain dimensions that have to be critiqued in order to make it rich.
