Introduction

Throughout your life, you have to make decisions about your health and your family. The decisions you make influence your overall well-being and the quality and cost of yours and your family care. Often, people who learn as much as possible about the options are more confident about the decisions they make. In general, people who work with their doctors to make health care decisions are more satisfied with the care they receive, and the results they achieve. Some people argue that the decision about ones' health goals must be left for the family doctor or nurse as they are the experts and will make the proper decisions regarding ones health. While some argue that to make health goals and decisions for oneself and the family, it is essential to make them, yourself along with the nurse or doctor's advice.
