Introduction

Chemical storage poses a potential threat to the environment and health and safety, and careful management of the design, manufacture, installation, operation and maintenance of such facilities is required. It is intended for use by any sized company, including regulators, designers, manufacturers, suppliers, installers, owners and operators of chemical storage systems. Due to the breadth of the subject, and as individual systems are likely to have individual requirements, specific solutions are generally not covered.

Safety and health in the workplace have become an integral component to the viability of business for employers, labour unions, governments, and environmentalists in general. The organization involves the processes of chemical storage tank. In which chemical is being stored. The plant was not cleaned since fifteen years when it was built. It is necessary and responsibility of the organization to create a plan for the cleaning of this storage. It is the responsibility of the organization to adopt good practice that is essential throughout the design, manufacture, installation, operation, inspection and maintenance or chemical storage systems so that system failures are minimized and the risk or environmental or health and safety incidents are reduced. People working with chemical storage systems have to be aware of their environmental, health and safety obligations, and the benefits that good practice will bring at every stage, from the initial system selection and design through to manufacture, installation on-site and operation and maintenance or the commissioned system.

Various studies indicate that level of education influences worker health and safety in the workplace. Banerjee (2002) writes that education helps to provide the appropriate skills needed to achieve social status and make healthy lifestyle choices. She writes that studies exploring adverse health effects of the psychosocial work environment show that individuals in positions that are characterised by routinized work with little supervision have low self esteem and higher stress levels.
