This intern report deals with the GSW housing group project where they are planning to provide opportunities for tenants to control the type, quality and cost of housing services; to enable tenants priorities to be reflected in GSW business plan, and to develop an approach to housing services that can be seen as best practice throughout the south east of England. The company is basically seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified consultant(s) through competitive tender process, to undertake an interim evaluation of our Tenant Focused Housing Services Programme. GSW expect the successful consultancy to begin work in August 2012 and in order to achieve that purpose, we are incorporating our finding in this interim evaluation report.
Project Background
In 2009 GSW Housing Group ('the Group') initiated a new approach to tenant services with the aim of involving tenants in the identification, design and monitoring of services delivered by the Group or its partners. Their brief was to produce a plan to transform housing services so that they reflected tenant priorities and value for money. The services that are identified as priorities for tenant involvement in the plan includes producing information for the on line Choice Based Lettings process, appointment of contractors for repairs on their estate and benchmarking between locations. Each of these priorities is now reflected in the work programme for housing management staff. Partners working with the group (e.g. charities, local businesses and local government) are aware of the Tenant Focused Housing Services Programme, and where appropriate, have adjusted their own working practices accordingly.
Identifying Stakeholders
In this part of the report, we will be analyzing the factors which are considered in order to identify potential and current stakeholders. Obligation to stakeholders is a generic term that encompasses a range of activities and interactions during the project life. These can be divided into different components ranging from stakeholder identification, analysis and consultation to negotiation and management of complaints and reporting.
