Introduction

Media, in today's rapidly changing environment can be seen as a powerful tool to form ideas and change existing beliefs. Researchers believe that media has achieved a significant success in making their roots strong among public much better than politicians (Graber, 2009). In fact, media's main job is to provide information to its audiences and create awareness of things among them. It is important to know that this information is further used by people to take decisions and sometimes to take actions. This paper aims to discuss the issue of politicians/government and media relationship and examines the impact of news on different social and political factors through two examples.
