The debate has been in the limelight for a long period of time which draws the comparison between the animals in the natural habitat and animals in the Zoo. This study tends to highlight some issues in regards to the issues animals and specifically Gorilla's face when caged and would also try to draw out a positive conclusion regarding the issue.

Gorilla's in their Natural Habitat and In the Zoo
Introduction
Animals in Zoo's are intended to achieve entertainment for the human beings rather than doing something or anything for the welfare of the animals. Animals aren't created to serve the purpose of the human beings rather to serve their own purposes. In order to create animals according to the requirements of the Zoo, they are subjected to aggression, which obviously is not acceptable by any means. Animals are treated aggressively only to serve the entertainment needs of us, human beings. How is it human to use any1 for our own interests or sake? How is it human to treat them badly just to mould them as per our needs? How is it human to deprive someone of its freedom? Before making any judgments, it is vital to analyze the effects of Zoo's on animals and specifically on Gorillas.
Discussion
Animal Welfare
To start of the effects zoo can have on animals, let's look it from the welfare point of view. Many people believe that it is wrong to keep animals in the zoo for their welfare if the facilities provides to them are in any way less than that of which were available to them in the their natural habitat. By keeping animals in the Zoo, it robs off their rights, which they enjoyed, in the natural habitat. No matter how many the facilities are available to them, but the question still exists that whether they are good enough to be replaced which were provided by the nature (Bloomsmith, 2009).
Spacious
No matter how much spacious the cage is the fact still subsists that it is a cage. How can cage be the alternative of the room which was provided to the animal by the nature? Especially the animals like gorilla's which tend to enjoy more space as compared to other animals, the growth of the gorillas are greatly hampered by the existence of the cage around them.
Social Structure
Gorilla's in the Zoo struggle to achieve their natural social structure, here social structure translates into the norms and their workings in the natural environment. Gorillas in the natural environment tend to live in families, move in groups etc. In Zoo how can they achieve this aspect of life, around which they tend to live. The factor of companionship is another point around which gorillas tend to base their life (www.economist.com).Imagine a human being without friends? Without Parents? Without a family? When we being humans can't live without it, how can we do this to other animals that aren't ...
