Background

This film transcribes the life of the Kerner family, consisting of mother Christine and Alex and Ariane her two children, living in East Berlin in the German Democratic Republic (GDR). The film begins in the summer of 1978, after their father fled to the west, Christine decided to dedicate her time in the social life of the regime communist programs, and even directs the organization of a choir.
