Introduction

The study of globalization has never been the exclusive concern of any intellectual circle. Unlike cross-cultural or competitiveness studies of the past, globalization studies appeal to a wide range of scholars and practitioners (Drucker, 1997). In the tradition capital, Warner Bros., having no desire to negotiate with vile elves, dwarves and trolls of a tiny Pacific territory, thus threatening to transfer production to another small country, more docile and offering favorable economic conditions ... in Eastern Europe.

During those weeks, one of New Zealand media is monopolized by the subject. The reactions are numerous, divided between support for the movement of players against big business and the fear of losing such a windfall for the country.
