GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGE

Human impacts on global environmental change

Abstract

In this study we try to explore the concept of “Global Environment Change” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “Global Environment Change” and its relation with “the irrevocable changes occurring in the surrounding of humans on mother Earth”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “Global Environment Change” and tries to gauge its effect on “the changes in temperatures, climate and other natural disasters”. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for “Global Environment Change” and tries to describe the overall effect of “Global Environment Change” on “activities of human beings”.

Human impacts on global environmental change

Humans live and die in a constant and recurring state of change. All occurrences, phenomena, concerns and situations that may otherwise occur are all results of constant, recurring change. This paper shall help us understand and comprehend the impacts of human activities, which have substantially impacted and affected the running and functioning of the global environmental system. In addition to this, we shall be highlighted certain activities and attempts that, although have been undertaken for the purpose and objective of contributing towards industrialization and growth of economies. But, to our surprise and astonishment, has created disastrous impacts on the environmental front of the world (Ann, 2006).

To initiate our discussion, we shall primarily discuss the whereabouts of what are environmental changes that have been occurring around us. An environmental change is defined as a positive or negative reaction that may arise as a response to any previous activity conducted, applied or implemented upon the natural processes of mother Earth. The current situation of global environmental change that we see today has been greatly negative. Although measures have been undertaken for the purpose and objective of reducing the problems and hindrances towards environmental change, the impacts are almost irrevocable. Be it be rising temperatures in the sea level, melting glaciers, global warming, the greenhouse effect, air, water and sea pollution or any other problem or situation that may occur, all are considered results of human activities and interventions that have caused the Earth to sabotage and deteriorate (Ann, 2006).

As much to our thoughts and surprise, although industrialization has intended grave opportunities to understand and comprehend new, novel and improved ways of employing natural resources to support and elevate the current living standards of human beings, the opportunity cost is being prominently and vastly borne by Earth itself. With earthquakes, floods, tsunami's, cyclones, typhoons and super floods taking toll over life on Earth, these are all a pre-requisite to our very attempts towards deteriorating the Earth's natural system of life and ultimately contributing towards our self-annihilation.

In today's world of modern technology and advancements, one can easily track the previous trends and past patterns of climate that mother Earth has experienced and gone through. With the latest technologies inculcated in systems today, one can easily identifying the historic trends that have occurred and at the same time forecast the future regarding resource ...
