The Garamba National Park is situated along the Sudan border, famous for the white rhinoceros found in the area. It is an eye catching area with stunning savannahs and grasslands to astonishing forests along river banks where various kinds of animals reside. (Anon, 1987)

Species comprise of elephant, giraffe, hippopotamus, white rhinoceros, chimpanzee, baboon, colobus monkey, vervet monkey and roan antelope. (Davis, 1994)
