The below report discusses the understandings of Peter Collins on the gambling about why he thinks that the two important concepts Kantians and Utilitarianism do not have the resource to explain the erroneous of gambling. The report takes into accounts the concept of Kantianism and Utilitarianism, how the two models are different from each other. The interest based arguments of both utilitarian and Kantians are also being discussed in the reports.As according to the concept of utlitarinsm it states that some procedures are correct to the extent that they encourage the maximum excellence for the maximum number of people.

The report also in the conclusion also discuses the end results and findings of overall research and also include the suggestions.

The Concept of Kantianism:

In Kantianism power for deciding what is right and what is moral must be based on a principle or rule that must apply to all human being generally, without omission. The rule is based on what Kant calls the Categorical Imperative- they base ethics on general laws or regulations and not on individual benefits or needs.

He did not think that one should deem the ethics (rightness or wrongness) of actions on the basis of the act's consequences. Hence a person's motives are the major factor in determining whether a particular action is moral. The focal point is on the act and the aim with which it was done rather than on its outcomes.

The above concept can be understood by taking the example; a woman went out for drinks and dinner. When she got back to home she required to make dinner for her 17-year-old son.

What she did, she took a chicken breast dip it in oil and put the chicken breast in oven and unfortunately fell asleep. In the mean while what happened next, she was awakened by her neighbor and her house cached fire. Here, the fact is she is not an awful person because the intention of lady was not bad regardless of the outcomes.
