The importance of the astronomy and galaxies along with the characteristics and shapes of the galaxies will be discussed so as to provide detailed understanding to the reader in order to create a better understanding. Introduction

There are so many things which are present in this world. Every person has some interests and tendencies. There are many inclinations which a person has. It is important to understand the need of studying different things which may not be a part of course but they definitely are worth reading and spending some time over them. There are many people who read different things related to nature, behavior, individuals, success stories and galaxies. Galaxies are most fascinating things. A galaxy is a combination of millions and trillions of stars along with dust and other gases. It is essential to understand the importance of the galaxies in order to develop a better understanding which can help an individual to share his knowledge with others and benefit others. There are different people who have different reasons to read about galaxies. But curiosity is the basic element in most of the cases. People are curious to know about the planets, pattern of life apart from earth and ways with which galaxies move from one point to the other. There are different classifications of galaxies which are studied and presented by the astronomers. There are many people who read about the shapes and components of different galaxies. It is very interesting topic and this is the reason people find it amusing and interesting. Classification of Galaxies

There are different concepts which are needed to understand the meaning of a galaxy. Initially scientists used to think that there was just one single galaxy in the universe (Elish D., 2006, pp.6). According to different scholars and astronomers, galaxy can be defined as a huge set of stars that can be identified as a separate physical unit. It is interesting to know that the smallest of the galaxy contains billions of stars. For instance, Leo I and II consist of billions of stars.
