Introduction

Fort Monroe, it was once used as a head quarters of TRADOC, and was located in near of the Virginia Beach to be more specific it's located in Hampton City, nearer to Norfolk, Yorktown. It's a place with Beautiful scene, enrich with full of historical place and best place for families in order to spend their vacations especially in the area of Virginia .Different unique museum, historical places & long scene of water ways will make you feel relax, one will find it as a amazing place, if one talks about the base facilities of Fort Monroe it's also one of its own kind in providing facilities, in short one can say people feel blessed that they have that beautiful place(Arthur ,1998).

Fort Monroe is situated at the top of Virginia Peninsula and it is the center of extended historic, profitable, trip and security activities. Fort Monroe was completed in 1834 in its early days when it was completed as a complete Fort it use to be knows as or referred "Gibraltar of Chesapeake Bay."

Now talking about today, fort Monroe importance has been increased in term of the army training place as it was used by the army for their development & training,TRADCO helps the army professional fighters through the doctrine of development and the equipments which they requires for war , so to running smoothly its mission fort Monroe have now currently the population of more than 2097 people which includes about 1016 people from army or other defense agencies,remaining includes the contractual employees and the civilians ,roughly estimated 814 families are also residing there ,overall this fort is covered by historic civvies communities which are famous because of their different sports, their culture ,beaches ,parks & water activities especially (Arthur ,1998).

Fort Monroe construction phase was in between 1820 to 1834,its main aim was to keep an eye to those people and strangers who are entering in the city of Hampton and all those ports also, from which one can access the water ways of that city .

The need for this fort is observed when it was found that the old defense system was not adequate to protect the cities, especially for the defense of their coastal areas , and because of this reasoning the need of Fort Monroe was defined automatically. Fort was successful in its mission for which it was built ,at that time fort monroe have the best artillery unit of its time ,with having more than 32 pounder guns having the range of about 1 mile, this range was more than enough to protect that port city and to keep an eye on the enemy .

after some time in 1824 ,this fort was assigned a new job as to create a site for artillery school of practice for the army personnel's.
