Abstract

A controlled substance is defined as the chemical or the drug, for which the government defines the control and the manufacturing. These substances fall under the category of legislative control. This involves the usage of illegal drugs and prescription medications. According to the forensic science the usage and the side effects of each drug will be defined in detail, some details about the class A depending upon their effects and the category of the drug. These drugs mainly include hallucinogen or narcotics. These drugs are never fall under the prescription of the doctor and are abused by the individuals. These drugs mainly include cocaine, crack, heroin, ecstasy, LSD. This paper is as detailed analysis, in the form of the secondary research that is used to find the methods and the techniques for the identification of these controlled substances including the designer drugs.

Forensic sciences can be defined as the branch of science that is used to resolve the legal issues and to evaluate the evidence through different methods in order to find out the scientific evidences by the use of the scientific application and tools. It investigates the facts and the figures regarding the crime and the crime scene. It is one of the most helpful and the advanced methods of investigation to find the clues and the proofs regarding the human body, bugs, poison, drugs, fingerprints etc. There many fields of the forensic science like chemistry, anthropology, technology, toxicology etc (Weissman, 1982).

Designer drugs are the drugs that are known for the avoiding the drug laws. These are prepared by the analogs or derivatives by using the existing drugs and applying the different methodologies by transforming the chemical structure of these drugs to the varying degrees or the other way. It could be done by the finding the new form of the drug that comprises of the new chemical structures that is responsible to produce the similar subjective effects to illegal recreational drugs. Another important factor to be considered for drugs is that are sold in the grey market. This reason is that these drugs are regulated with “no regulations”.
