The purpose of this paper is to enlighten and explore forensic science and criminalistics. This paper aims to focus on the systematic process known as forensic science and its significance. This paper also enlightens the usage of forensic science and its importance in providing clarity to the decisions in the court of law. Forensic science is the science that explores the patterns of training, the commission and concealment of the offense (Beaver, 2010). In addition, forensics involves the development of special techniques, methods and means of collecting, researching and evaluating the forensic evidence at crime scene. The end results revealed by forensic investigation are used in the criminal process for the prevention, detection and investigation of crimes (Beaver, 2010). The forensic science is a vast and sophisticated area that has been developing different methodologies and systems for the prevention of crime.

According to the theoretical foundations of criminology a forensic scientist or a forensic researcher is responsible is an individual with specialized training and tactics that are utilized in the commission and concealment of a crime (Beaver, 2010). The forensic researcher explores the minute traces and tracks that turn out to be the major evidences. The forensic research is an individual that is responsible to provide a guideline to the judge and the jury about the hearing in the court of law. It is the forensic researchers due to which the judge and jury are assisted to give a concrete decision in the light of the evidence presented in the court.
