Forensic psychology is the discipline that originated in the clinical psychology resulting from the need for a psychological evaluation of the crime, and that is the product of the union of psychology and law. Forensic psychology is the application of scientific principles in the judicial process. Forensic psychology is then the intersection of two sciences: psychology and law, which while dealing with the same object of study (the person), their approaches and methods, are different, ergo its conclusions as well. Many TV shows currently running on different TV channels that have criminal and forensic psychology as their core theme. One of the most popular forensic psychology TV serial is Dexter. Dexter is an expert in blood splatters and stains. It has no parallel to analyze and interpret a crime scene provided it is a little bloody. The series is adapted from the novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay, a thriller that offers a fascinating trip through the mind of a serial killer. There are some differences between the book and the series. For example, in the novel, the former husband of Rita is always violent to her and her children. Another example: at the end of the book, Deborah discovers that his brother is a serial killer, which is not the case in the series. Two other volumes were released: Dearly Devoted Dexter and Darkly Dreaming Dexter. Known for his role as David Fisher in Six Feet-winning also underground, the actor has just won popularity with this role, coming to be with a Golden Globe in 2010, and numerous awards and nominations for awards such as the Emmy. This remarkable novel was included in the original nomination list for the Mystery Writers of America for Best novel initially, but was eliminated when it was discovered that during the 90's, wrote several novels under the pseudonym of Jeffrey P. Lindsay. However, the success of the character was such that the US TV channel, Showtime and producer James Manos Jr. gave him a chance television series Dexter, starring Michael C. Hall has won a resounding success. The parallels between this first novel and the first season of the television series are evident, but there comes a point where that branch and each take different paths.
