The food pantry is completely a public oriented organization so the effective public exposure to programs and functional strategies of a food pantry is inevitable for its effective working. This study aims at informing public about the different aspects of our programs like economic situation, compatibility with public needs, procedure of executing programs and benefits integrated in the services rendered by our food pantry throughout the New York. Introduction
Food pantries have increased incredibly in United States of America in the last decade to curb the growing hunger and appetite. Food pantries are charitable and nonprofit organizations that provide donated subsistence to needy people. We being one of the largest regional food pantries of New York feel highly liable to public for meeting the standards of a public oriented food pantry existing to serve public cause and well being. We started our services in 2002 and now we have 22 offices in different localities of New York. Our food pantry programs are designed effectively after through research to cover maximum U.S public ultimately. The successful implementation of our programs is highly dependent on extensive communication and intimacy with our worthy public.
Thesis Statement
Programs of our food pantry are adequate to meet audience needs but insufficient funds can halt their efficiency and function.
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to analyze the efficiency, opportunities, issues and challenges regarding the execution of our organizational programs. It will let public know about our monetary terms, steps involved in rendering welfare services, and most importantly that how our food pantry programs strive to sustain public health. The study seeks to unfold the underlying organizational realities to wipe out confusions regarding program's efficiency.
Organization's Programs
Our major programs include community kitchen that provides more than 60, 000 meals to audience every month. Food distribution service which directly distribute food to the local and community based food organizations. There are more than 5,000 local food serving organizations registered with us from the whole New York. The third most prominent program being run by our food pantry is of Health and Nutritional awareness which approaches the schools in poor communities of New York like Kiryas Joe, Kaser, New Square, Buffalo, Melrose and Morrisania Mount Eden (U.s Census Bureau Report, 2012 ) .
