Fiscal Policy: Government Expenditures and Revenues, Budget, National Debt

Introduction

As a lobbyist my ultimate aim would be to promote the implementation of those fiscal and monetary policies that would serve the interest of my organization. My organization is involved in the production & marketing of sports goods & apparels. For my organization to succeed and progress smoothly in the long run I would have to work really hard as lobbyist exerting my influence over the congress to ensure that those policies & initiatives are implemented which brings a positive impact for my sports goods manufacturing company. As a lobbyist I would be using both the government tools of fiscal and monetary policy to work for my company's advantage. There were around 14,800 lobbyist in US for the year ended 2008(Reuters, 2009).

I would also strongly envy for making sports a part of their curriculum, this would encourage the sports manufacturing industry (The World Bank, 2007).

Reducing GST for Sports Manufactured Goods

The second most important thing that I will try to achieve is to reduce the GST on the sports manufactured goods. This will create a positive spiral for my company's goods and apparels. When the taxation for my firms goods will decline due to my strong lobbying affect, this would mean that our company's goods will become more competitive and attractive for the customers. This will raise the demand considerably which would lead to higher turnover and profitability for our business. I would strongly lobby for the government to encourage expenditure for the ...
