First Sergeant has the prominent position in the military and, by considering history we need to know the importance of the First Sergeant. In 17th century, the Prussian army initiated the concept of First Sergeant in United States Army. The Prussian Army Feldwebel is also the company's sergeant, which has combined duties of First Sergeant and, also the duties of the Sergeant major. Company's commander know each thing which is going in the organization and, monitor duties of the NCOs, either they are performing their duties in an effective manner or not and, they also monitor several trainings that, either trainings are accomplished in an effective way or not. They are the Noncommissioned officers and, they are allowed to strike a Soldier (Sergeant, & Sims, 1972) and, they also monitor that, none of the NCOs beat or hit the Soldiers. Von Steuben had declared the duties of the sergeant major and, it was considered as the First Sergent, who was the American equivalent of the Prussian Feldwebel. Several Noncommissioned officers are chosen by the officers of the company according to the discipline of the unit. He watched obeying of the orders and regulatory of the manners because, these all are dependent on the visionary of the first sergeant. It is recommended that, the First Sergeant should possess a highly positive character, in order to impress the minds of the Soldiers and, does not make them feel as the strict environment (Sergeant & Sims, 1972).

In this article, Be, Know and do of noncommissioned officer is explained in detail. The article discusses that, the Creed of the noncommissioned officer states that, he must believe that no one is more professional than him. The importance of actions and know of a noncommissioned officer emphasizes that, he has to monitor all the actions because leadership is all about taking actions. These attributes help the army officials to start their mission and accomplish within specific period. Values and attributes are equal for all leaders in the Army regardless of their ranks and positions.
