Introduction

This paper intends to take a position and argue in favor of one of the given statements. The main focus of this paper is to examine the purpose and need of understanding the financial calculations. The first statement position is “It is only necessary to understand how to use the technological tools to perform calculations”. The second statement position is “It is important to understand the calculations for FV and PV of monetary sums”. This paper shall argue in favor of the position 2, and further it explains the counter side of the position 1.
