The Terminator is a science fiction film by James Cameron released in 1984. This represents Arnold Schwarzenegger an Android from the future, whose mission is to kill people (to "terminate"). The unexpectedly very successful author film is the first in a series of four feature films to date. The relatively modest budget turned B-movie emerged as one of the most influential science fiction films of the 80s to a cult film. Background Story - The future
In 2029, the Earth is due to a nuclear war devastated and wiped out the majority of mankind. Of human development, intelligent war machines went to war against their creators, as they suspected that this threatens their own existence. The survivors of the war have the choice to either serve as slaves to the machines or the rebellion of the people to join. After the human resistance, led by John Connor in 2029 is nearing a decisive victory over the central instance of Skynet machines, the machines send a Terminator-type T-800, Model 101 in 1984. This android - a machine covered in human tissue - is the mother of John Connor, Sarah Connor set to kill them before they can give birth to their son John. The rebels can send through the conquest of the time machine the soldier Kyle Reese back in time to protect Sarah. Both antagonists are sequentially, but in different places in Los Angeles in the 1984. By destroying the time machine in 2029, both on their own and take on the search for Sarah Connor (Brown & Decker, 2009).
The Present - Los Angeles (1984)
