Federalism and Socialism

Abstract

In this study we try to explore the concept of “Movement from Federalism to Socialism and government influence over states rights” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “Movement from Federalism to Socialism” and its relation with “Subtopic”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “topic” and tries to gauge its effect on “government influence over states rights”.

Introduction

In this research paper I will analyze the movement from federalism to socialism and the influence of government over state rights. In the course of study I will carry out a research on federalism and socialism and I will identify different aspects associated to these philosophies, and an analysis of the government influence over state rights will be examined in these two distinct styles of governments.

Federalism

Federalism, Latin Foedus, refers to a set of characteristics and institutional practices of federal political systems and the political theories that have been built, in general account for or to promote them. When it concerns a form of State organization, it opposes the unitary state. The separation of powers is then made between the Federated States and Federal Government under the terms organized by a federal constitution. A federation may arise from the combination of several states within a single state or federal division of a unitary state into several entities. Duality refers to state and created a dual loyalty of citizens: one in respect of the Federation, the other in respect of the Member State as explained American intellectuals behind the design modern federalism as Alexander Hamilton, whose task was precisely to overcome the dogma of the absolute unity of the state which remains valid for unitary states.

Federalism is one kind of government. In a federal system, Power is shared between a central government and regional governments. Modern federalism first developed in the United States. Its concepts have proven to be widely acceptable to the vast majority of the American people. Today, the federal system of government is also used by many other countries around the world, including Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.

Basic concept of division of powers

The first basic concept of American federalism is the division of governmental powers between a central government—the nation—and regional governments—the states. Based upon a written document, the Constitution, political power is divided between these two levels of government.
