Not only do they demolish the ornamentation of the region, they leave the society in a position from where the recovery is arduous. If it is only the economic loss that comes as a package with the natural disaster, it can be recouped; however, it is the loss of life and added misery that makes the situation more deplorable and distressing. It is a common belief that most natural disasters are nearly impossible to predict, however, with the help of the advanced technology a few disasters can be anticipated before their occurrence, like cyclones, hurricanes and even the famines.

This prediction provides us with a chance to take counter measures and tackle the upcoming adversities. However, by taking counter measures, the disaster cannot be fully evaded, but still the extent of disaster can be minimized. The history of the world is full of instances, where various regions were struck by these natural calamities. A few of them were capable of predicting them and arranging the counter measures; however, few unfortunate countries, either due to shortage of advanced technology could not predict it, or lacked in resources or substances to safeguard their nation.

The unavailability of food, and shortage of crops, leads a nation in the most dire effects of famine, which destroys a nation, both with respect to finanacial stability and insufficiency of cultivation. The famine leaves a country in the most detrimental conditions, causing economic and agricultural impairments.

However, often it is not the case that the whole region falls victim of the devastation of famine; rather it is one or more communities with in a region that are severely affected, and experience the increased destruction and death rate. Moreover, the famines cannot always be predicted, in dire circumstances. It can happen unexpectedly even in the most agriculturally rich regions.

Devastated in financial and economic forums, the government finds it to be extremely tough to bounce back and provide its nation with the previous standard of living and commodities, if not better, having limited existing resources at their disposal. Moreover, the nation already suffers the great loss of their assets and valuables, and after or during the famine the priority becomes to feed themselves and their loved once on urgent bases. With such a prevailing situation, the endurance power of the individuals decreases a lot; they become intolerant and agitated and try to grab and get hold of every conceivable resource that they can attain.
